story
Since childhood, I’ve loved exploring and adventuring through our beautiful Earth. Her mountains, rivers, forests, skies, and seas fill me with joy and wonder. I love listening to the wind move through the trees, the ocean waves lap the shore, and the river water flow over rocks.
When I was young, my family lived in the mountains of central Mexico in a small town with cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and an endlessly open blue sky. The spirit of San Miguel de Allende—and the artists who lived there—inspired me to create freely and stay endlessly curious. I wandered everywhere: through rooms, gardens, roads, the whole tow and and into countryside, always exploring.
Today, I still create and adventure through everything that is alive and breathing. The wonder surrounding us feels infinite, and so does my curiosity. My childhood love of making with my hands has stayed how I imagine with the world.
I’m deeply grateful to my hands for all the beauty they open me to and through. With them, I build and imagine worlds—sometimes in solitude, often with others. My hands guide me through writing, knitting, all kinds of making, and, more recently, a surprising and joyful discovery: energy healing and Reiki.
I first began practicing energy healing on animals—mostly horses, cats, and dogs—and later on close friends. I knew little formally, but by following intuition, I discovered that we already hold an innate wisdom to heal ourselves and one another. Those early experiences filled me with awe and led me deeper into the vast world of energy.
In July 2023, I studied with Reiki Master Brett Bevell at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York, where I received my Level I and II attunements in the Usui Reiki Ryōhō lineage. In 2024, I continued my studies with Brett through a six-month course and received my Master-level attunement in the same lineage.
From May to October 2025, while living and working at the Omega Institute, I guided dozens of one-on-one holistic energy sessions—each one deepening my practice and connection to this work.
Since January 2024, I’ve been offering in-person holistic energy sessions from my studio in Athens, Greece, where I make my home.
Deepening my understanding of Reiki and energy healing has become a lifelong spiritual practice. What motivates this work is love—love for people, for the Earth, and for the web of life that connects us. I believe our planet, of which we are a part, must be supported, protected, and healed to remain healthy. The more we nurture and heal ourselves, the more balanced and vibrant the Earth becomes.
I feel grateful every day to practice the art of energy and to share it with others. It’s a true joy. What’s most beautiful to me is that Reiki is open to everyone—anyone can learn this art, whether or not you wish to practice professionally.
If you have any questions or simply wish to share, I would love to hear from you.
With love,
Walker
